On a cold, January morning Castle Coaching Fitness ran their first workshop of the year at Shobnall Leisure Complex in Burton-Upon-Trent.  This was a closed course for the members of Washlands Women Runners.

Over the course of the day we covered how to go about scheduling your races, planning your training and the importance of peaking and tapering.  The morning session also included a practical session on the athletics track.

There was a great turn out from the club and a thoroughly enjoyable day.  As a coach it is always rewarding to work with enthusiastic runners and help them with their running, as well as receiving feedback on the course itself.

A big thank you also goes to the staff at Shobnall Leisure Complex for their assistance in setting up the venue and providing refreshments.
