Well done to Emma on her recent success at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Perth, Australia. Our coach Chris Hollinshead has been working with Emma to help her achieve her long term goal this season, which was to reach the final of the W45 800 metres. This was achieved when she finished second in her heat. In the final Emma finished 4th, overtaking 3 athletes in the last 60 metres.
This was followed up four hours later by a seasons best of 29.56 seconds in the 200 metre heats but missed out on qualifying for the final.
Further success followed later in the week when she qualified for the W45 400m final. Emma finished 8th in a time of 65.52 seconds.
