With the winter weather drawing ever closer and fewer races taking place, many runners thoughts start to turn towards the spring calendar and the opportunity to set themselves a new racing goal to work towards.

For some they will have been lucky enough to have got a place in the London Marathon, while others may have chosen to enter another spring Marathon such as Manchester or Brighton.  Similarly people are putting their entries in for early season half marathons, such as our very own Stafford Half, taking place in March.

For all of these races it is important to start planning your training now to make sure that you are as prepared as you can be come race day to run the best race that you can.  Our coach Chris Hollinshead can help you with this, whether it is your first race over this distance or your want to improve your time from your previous race.

Chris can work with you to develop a bespoke training programme as you work towards race day, as well as one-to-one training sessions.  Perhaps you have entered the Stafford Half with a couple of friends?  If so have you thought about arranging training sessions for your small group?
